Contacts allows you to keep the information about your clients compliant and organized with additional options CapaTalk provides you with, to improve your reach when communicating through WhatsApp.
Contacts
You can import your contacts through a CSV file. Additionally, you can also add new contacts manually. Let’s go through these individually so you can understand the process.
When importing your contacts, make sure to extract your clients information to a CSV file. Then, just click on ‘Import’ and your contacts will be shown in the ‘Contacts’ page. You can then search for each contact by name, email or phone.

Active means the numbers that are receiving messages on WhatsApp since your last campaign.
Tagged are the contacts you attributed a Tag to it. Tags are extremely valuable to your organization, as it will enrich the knowledge you have about your clients. This will allow you to reach your clients and a more effective and personalized way.
Selected are the contacts you manually select on the Contacts page. You can select multiple contacts.
Let’s say you selected multiple contacts. Now CapaTalk will ask you to choose one of the possible actions to apply to the selected contacts.
You can choose to ‘Delete Contact’. This will delete your selected contacts from the platform.
You can also pick to ‘Opt-Out’ and to ‘Opt-In’. This option has to do with the consent. If you want to update the consent type from your selected contacts, you can also do it.
In ‘Filter Contacts’ your can filter by name, phone, tags, consent type, status, created at (gives you the date the contact was created on our platform), updated at (this can be any changes made to the profile of the contact)
Tags
Tags are important. Tags allow you to differentiate certain clients identity or preferences in order to communicate more effectively with your clients overall.
You can add Tags to contacts in the ‘Contacts Page’. Through multiple selection or individually.
Let’s create your first Tag. We want to differentiate a high value client from all the others. We will then create a tag named ‘VIP’. The name of tags are entirely up to you.
We can attribute a colour to each tag, to make it more visible to the human eye.

Each tag can be given a description to understand what the tag means and for other people in your team to be in the same page as you.
‘Saves Changes’ to save your Tag creation. Now you will be able to add this tag to contacts.
In the main Tag page, you will view how many contacts belong to each tag. Tags can be used to select your audience before sending a campaign.
